A breath of fresh air...

So our Tuesday Children's Bible Club (Kinderstunde) was becoming a little monotonous, until the twins came. Randy (one of our teammates) teaches English and one of his students has twin daughters, age 8. They are known to have said, "Why would we go to church? We're atheists. We can't believe in a God that allows all the bad things in the world to happen." (And I'm sure no one pounded that into their heads--ha ha.) Anyway, they've been there the last two times and seem to really enjoy it. We're talking about what the church was and is, thus the praying hands that we made frames for. It is interesting because we had the neighborhood kids trained, but the new kids have enabled them revert to old behavior. It is refreshing, though, makes you look at things from a different perspective and challenge you to think about what truly is important--that they see and experience the unconditional love God has for them and us.

best buds

Neal, Renate and Scott came over for breakfast today. It was a lot of fun! The kids chased Abby around, trying to hug her, but she didn't mind because she smelled bacon and was sure that if she was just good enough, someone would give her some (and we did). They are a really fun and we enjoy switching in and out of german with them (He is Scottish).
