youth group

Okay, so, there were two visitors from out of town and five American youth coaches, but it's an impressive picture none the less. They talked about death and loss, which isn't an easy topic, but Brett felt like it went well.

Fiona and I visited her preschool today, for a get-to-know-you hour. There was one other new boy there, Stefan, and they will join the other 10 kids in the group come August. Fiona understands a little more German than Stefan, but they both have a lot to learn being the youngest and non-Germans. Fiona is excited about playing with other boys and girls. Please pray with us as we start to let go.

Getting ready for youth group...

Brett and Fiona watching Rob Bell (Matthew) in preparation for youth group in Peine. The series is a great divingboard for deeper discussions. Please pray that lots of kids come and want to discuss the things our society deems unimportant.

Herkules

530 stairs to get down to the bottom, another kilometer to see a little castle at the bottom, no ice at the only restaurant there, Herkules himself was being refinished, and the water did not run on the day we were there.

Even so, it was well worth it.

Grant and Brittany's visit...

We saw this castle from the highway and thought we'd try to find it. Turned out to be a pretty good find. Grant is very proud of this picture. It only took four gummy bears.

The Pauls from Peine came for breakfast on Saturday. We ate outside in our wonderful garden.

Sisters!

The new apartment...

Brett met Aki, from Japan, at church in Göttingen. They plan to get together for mutual encouragement.

Christine, Jochen and Linus are also some friends we met at church. They made us homeade ice cream, so I think we'll be good friends!

Fiona and I in our matching pants, which you can't really see since I'm holding her, but I think we're mega cute!!

This is a tour of our new home, but you might not want to watch it if you have a problem with motion sickness.

It's 30 degrees, which may sound cold, but it's just the opposite! Even the frogs think so.
