What a weekend!

Friday night was Spieleabend and, for some reason, I didn't take any pictures of it. But it was good to reconnect with and meet new friends.

Saturday was Frank and Johanna's wedding. (Brett met him at the fitness studio back in 2002.) You may be thinking, well, that surely isn't an all day event, but let me tell you we celebrated for a full 12 hours! Starting at the court house, then at a restaurant and then at her parent's house. We took Fiona to the Paul's for the day and she had so much fun with two of her favorite boys!

We stayed in Peine for church on Sunday, which was good since they had a pot luck dinner planned. We hadn't seen Sara Nilsson or Sarinah in a good long while. The Kretschmar's, missionaries to Africa, were also visiting.

Oh, how I missed my Sarinah. She was in Lilongwe, with the Kretschmar's, for two years!

Yeah! He passed, his grade wasn't as good as he'd hoped, but it's over!!! Many valuable friendships have been formed, hebrew basics have been learned and more insight into the German University system has been gained. One young man, Benjamin, was very concerned about how to stay in touch. And many doors have been opened for these relationships to continue.

Hebrew

This is Brett and I at a breakfast Café on his next to the last day of class. Thinking about what to say to his beautifully pregnant wife? No, studying.

A secretly taken picture during church. Following along with the sermon notes? No, studying.

His written test was yesterday. He feels very neutral about it--could be anywhere from a b- to a d+. Please pray for a peace that passes understanding and a clearness of mind for the oral exam tomorrow. It'll be quite the challenge explaining a third language in his second.

Someone in our house just turned 4!!

The birthday girl asked for cake and chocolate anytime I asked what she wanted and so I took it upon myself to start with Barbie stuff.

Papa got her drums so they can jam together.

Obligatory chocolate cake

Treasure hunt with friends--Lara, Helen, Samed and Raphael

Some friends from one of the student groups gave her a huge monkey.

Our strawberry Pinata, I'm so very proud of it. Fiona kept pronouncing it "Pintiata"

Ice cream sundaes!!!

It was a great day, Fiona did very well. We cannot believe we have a four-year-old. She is such a blessing, one you wish you could spend more time with, but know you must let grow up.
I love it when they do this!

Happy 4th of July!!
